BBC Studios and CinemaLive have announced a special in-cinema screening event for the epic two-part Doctor Who series finale, which could well mark the final appearance of Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor.

Written by Russell T Davies and directed by Alex Sanjiv Pillai, this two-part event is promising us a thrilling ride through time and space. But for a show as enduring as Doctor Who, every finale carries a certain weight. Could this be just another dramatic cliffhanger, or could these titles – Wish World and The Reality War – hint at something far more significant?

Could this be a turning point, a goodbye, or even… the end of Doctor Who?

Natasha Spence, Events Director at BBC Studios, hints at the scale: “This finale promises to be an amazing ride for Whovians, and we’re excited to share the Doctor and Belinda’s latest adventures with them on the big screen.” While John Travers, Head of Acquisitions & Distribution for CinemaLive, emphasizes the shared experience: “We’re excited to be working with BBC Studios to ensure that this time round, Doctor Who fans of all ages are able to share in the epic experience of watching the two-part season finale on the big screen.”

The anticipation is palpable. What realities will be warped? What wishes will be granted, and at what cost? And with titles carrying such weight, the question lingers: what future awaits the Doctor and Belinda?

Want to experience it at the big screen? Tickets go on sale at 10 am on Wednesday, 1st May! Secure your seats now at doctorwhoincinemas.co.uk.
